Mount Gravatt Mazda would like to thank our community, customers, family and friends for the generosity towards our 2020 MGM Festive Toy Drive. We were completely overwhelmed with the abundance of toys received. The sheer volume of new, unwrapped toys which were donated for children and teens with cancer meant that for families who are finding things tougher than normal this year, their children will still be able to experience the happiness of receiving a present at Christmas. Never have we witnessed such joy in action. Never have there been so many beautiful moments.
So many families benefited from the MGM Festive Toy Drive. We successfully filled FIVE Mazda BT-50’s. Toys were distributed to paediatric oncology families (patients and siblings) who attended the 'Childhood Cancer Support' annual Christmas party and more toys will be delivered to paediatric oncology families receiving treatment staying in CCS short and long term accommodation over Christmas.
Our Toy Drive is so much more than just toys. The outpouring of generosity assures parents in need that the community truly cares about them and their children. It means that we all live in a community where joy, hope and concern for each other can be found in abundance. These efforts help ‘Childhood Cancer support’ transform lives at Christmas and throughout the year.
All the people who donated helped bring a smile to a child’s face this festive season — and we sincerely thank you for supporting our efforts. Because of you, many children can forget their worries and truly enjoy Christmas.
