RELIABILITY AND DESIRABILITY
Buying a used car can be a daunting task. It’s a risk versus reward endeavour that demands considered thought and research.
For most people with busy lives, though, putting countless hours of research into that next preowned purchase is untenable.
That’s why the team at Australia’s largest automotive classifieds, Carsales, has crunched the numbers and consulted the experts to determine which pre-loved cars are best.
Backed by data from Redbook, a panel of Carsales’ automotive journalists have concluded that consumers looking for their next set of wheels should be buying vehicles no more than six years old.
And after performing a deep dive on 10 different vehicle segments, the judges have found superlative offerings for each.
Mazda is proud to announce that no less than three of its vehicles have been awarded the Carsales Best Used Cars for 2023 in their respective classes.
Finally, taking the win for best Small SUV was the 2016 Mazda CX-3 Akari turbo-diesel AWD, which, although no longer sold new in Australia, is still garnering praise in the used-car market.
“One of the world’s original small SUVs is still among the best,” Pettendy said.
Carsales also noted that the Mazda2, Mazda6, MX-5 and BT-50 received honourable mentions in their respective segments.
These accolades are a testament to Mazda’s enduring reliability and desirability in the marketplace and showcase that Mazda owners, whether buying their vehicles new or used, have made the right purchase.
