Spirit Of Giving | 2024 Charity Wrap Up

The start of every new year offers an opportunity to reflect and reconnect with what’s truly important.

Here at Mount Gravatt Mazda, the spirit of giving is in our DNA. We welcome and celebrate our community. MGM is much more than just a Mazda Dealership. It’s a platform that speaks from the heart to empower our staff, break down barriers within the community and bring about change where it's needed most.

Like a big family, we honour the good times and unite during the tough. That's why, alongside our other philanthropic efforts like Random Acts Of Kindness, we donate $25 from new vehicle purchases to various charities throughout the year.

As part of our CTP partnerships, our customers choose a cause that resonates with them and we then donate on their behalf.  Throughout 2024 Mount Gravatt Mazda has supported the below charities - donating over $26,500. This is an incredible effort, and we know all funds are being utilised to bring about real change in our community.

ALZHEIMER'S QUEENSLAND

At AQ, we understand the importance of ageing well. Through our dedicated aged care services, we want to support those who are ageing, and those with dementia, to live fuller lives. We also want to provide much-needed assistance to carers and family members.

THE FORGOTTEN WOMEN

The Forgotten Women is a unique, grassroots housing initiative for homeless women over 55. Women experiencing homelessness are significantly less visible and identifiable than their male counterparts, often being described as the ‘hidden homeless’

SMALL STEPS 4 HANNAH

The murder of Hannah Clarke and her children was a ‘line in the sand’ moment in Australia; The SS4H exists to HALT the cycle of domestic violence so that everyone can feel respected, informed, confident to act, and safe. Together we can HALT domestic and family violence.

SHAKE IT UP AUSTRALIA FOUNDATION

Together with our partners The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, Shake It Up Australia are the largest non-government funders of Parkinson’s research across multiple institutes in Australia. It is only through international collaboration that we will find a cure for Parkinson’s.

TIACS

TradeMutt founders Ed and Dan saw a great need to remove the barriers that prevented hard-working Australians from accessing professional mental health counselling. TIACS provides access to help through a simple text and call service directly to professional counsellors.

Our pledge at MGM is that this work is only the beginning. We will strive to listen to and respond to the needs of our wonderful community more fully and look forward to making a bigger impact in 2025.
