At Mount Gravatt Mazda we choose to make kindness the norm and we wholeheartedly believe that if you have the power to be kind, you should. So with that in mind, we are pleased to announce that MGM's Random Acts Of Kindness has returned in 2024. Soon you will see that kindness is for everyone and no act, no matter how small is ever truly wasted.

So ask yourselves 'What would happen if we all decided to be just that little bit kinder to one another?' This year let's all make kindness the norm. 

This is a question we ask our team every year, and during our Random Acts of Kindness crusade, our staff come together to sprinkle kindness through our community and hope to be an example of what the world would look like with more kind gestures - and you get to be a part of it!

We hope to have highlighted the importance of being kind to each other, to yourself, and the world and to understand that kindness is what binds us all together. This understanding has the power to bridge the gap between nations. With kindness, we can overcome the divides of politics, race, religion, gender, and so much more.

RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS 🦋 DRU ANIMAL RESCUE

The MGM Kindness committee visited Kate and the wonderful team of volunteers at DRU Animal Rescue.
The sanctuary is home to over 180 animals - creatures of all kinds, big and small. With a dedicated team of 175+ volunteers to date, they have saved over 4500 animals. You can visit for sanctuary tours as well as a variety of therapeutic animal programs.

They receive no government assistance and rely purely on the support and generosity of our community. So with that in mind, we kick-started our 2024 RAOK by giving a gift of good karma to help the animals in need. Each donation can make a huge difference in another being's life. A gift as little as $5 will go towards helping DRU residents remain in a safe, comfortable and happy environment.

RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS 🦋 FORMALLY YOURS

Pensioner Sam is the face behind Formally Yours and helps struggling students go to their high school formals, and she does it without getting a cent in return.

So we asked the MGM staff to help by donating formal wear - including shoes, accessories, and bags.  Sam is Brisbane's fairy godmother, and this #raok has a wonderful ripple effect, dressing disadvantaged grade 12 students for the biggest event of their lives. 

RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS 🦋 BACKPACK BED

The tiniest life change can cause someone to lose everything they have in the blink of an eye. Whatever the reason - over 122,000 Australians sleeping on our streets need immediate shelter to survive. 

Sonja and Kate visited Tony from Backpack Bed and saw first-hand how the homeless crisis is impacting people from all demographics, and not necessarily who you'd expect. 

In the hopes of providing the homeless with dignity and life-saving shelter, we have purchased Backpack Beds which will be donated through one of the local homeless agencies that partner with Tony and his team.

RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS 🦋 H.E.A.R.T

HEART - Brisbane is a community charity focused on creating an inclusive place for people of all abilities to come together and grow. Kate and Sonja met with Renee and the wonderful group of people behind Hemmant Equine Agistment Riding & Therapy (H.E.A.R.T). The sense of togetherness and support for everyone was palpable. The shared joy for each individual and their achievements is commendable.

RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS 🦋 EYES ON THE PRIZE

Making friends and developing a real sense of community is the pride of the Tarragindi Tigers. From Tiger Cubs to Lion Masters, this neighbourhood soccer club offers an array of programs aimed at promoting physical fitness, building confidence and developing important life skills... all while having loads of fun!

Kate and Sonja caught up with Bec and Susan to donate some kindness dollars to put towards equipment. Visit Tarragindi Tigers for more info on what makes them roar.

RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS 🦋 PURPOSEFUL CAFE

At Lovewell, they're not just serving meals; they're transforming lives - one woman at a time, one coffee at a time. A favourite spot to visit, this little social enterprise cafe with spectacular views offers more than just delicious food. Their contribution to the community resonates far beyond the cafe walls.

In collaboration with their wonderful team, guests who visited the cafe this week were handed an envelope - filled with kindness, some filled with a voucher. Each individual was given the choice to redeem or #payitfoward and spread the ripples of kindness even further.

RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS 🦋 WELLNESS CONNECTION

Every Sunday you will find a group of like-minded men connecting through a simple concept - A leisurely walk and talk through the Minnippi Parklands.

Ash, Neil, Jayson and Simon joined an awesome bunch of blokes for their 172nd Men’s Walk & Talk this morning. We're honoured to be included in today's event, encouraging men to open up about how they feel while walking, talking, connecting, and building a stronger community one walk at a time. Thanks for letting our team shout today's coffee.

With a like-minded kindness goal, Lauren from Selfawear generously gifted 'Be Kind' Tees to the Mount Gravatt Mazda Kindness Crew. These shirts brought extra smiles wherever we went!

There is nothing more satisfying for our team than doing something nice for someone else, without them asking and without doing it for something in return.

You may wonder how compassion from one person can make a difference. It isn't easy to comprehend, but every kind act, even the smallest one, creates a ripple effect you can’t begin to imagine.
