In conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness month, Mount Gravatt Mazda turned pink for the month of October. It’s an unfortunate statistic, but sadly we all know someone who has been affected by breast cancer – whether it be mothers, aunties or friends.
At MGM we wanted to be able to help spread awareness of this horrible disease by encouraging the importance of being breast aware and in doing so we believe that we can be a part of a power pledge to encourage regular checks, not only for ourselves, but by also encouraging our friends and family to understand the importance of being aware of our own health.
Throughout our MGM Wellness activation, we wanted to involve our team throughout the month. We held various activities over the course of the month, on one occasion hosting a pink free dress day, giving our staff the option to come to work in their best PINK outfits. By doing so our team were able to raise much needed funds which was donated to the community based and volunteer run charity, Be Uplifted Inc.
In conjunction with this, we wanted to incorporate a way that our customers could also support our focus for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We made the decision to utilise our partnership with Suncorp and all funds raised from our CTP Community #allin program would be donated Be Uplifted for the month of October.
Thank you to our staff and customers, with your help we were able to raise an incredible $2,415, which helps those in our community impacted by Breast Cancer.
