Mount Gravatt Mazda's 2022 Festive Toy Drive
HELP SPREAD SMILES THIS CHRISTMAS
Our favourite holiday tradition is set for 2022!
We all know Christmas is a time for joy but for families who have children with cancer, it can be a daunting and harrowing holiday.
It is that time of year at Mount Gravatt Mazda when we begin to collect new toys for children affected by childhood cancer for our annual Festive Toy Drive.
We welcome the spirit of Christmas with our fourth annual festive drive, with this year's toy drive benefiting paediatric oncology families (patients and siblings) attending the 'Childhood Cancer Support' annual Christmas party and paediatric oncology families receiving treatment staying in short and long-term accommodation over Christmas.
CONNECTING WITH OUR COMMUNITY
At Mount Gravatt Mazda, our values stretch far beyond customer service and the feeling of Zoom-Zoom. We are dedicated to enriching our community and fostering a spirit of involvement and giving.
We are proud to be supporting Childhood Cancer Support for a third consecutive year. Every year we are able to support regional families from South East Queensland living in long and short-term accommodation facilities over the Christmas period.
Our hope is to make a difference to the spirit and morale of children and families who are spending the festive season in hospital, living with a cancer diagnosis.
“We have had a great relationship with Childhood Cancer Support for many years, and it is always an honour to be involved each festive season and watch as our Mazda BT-50 sleigh fills up with toy donations from our generous customers and wider community,”
- Julian Mason | Dealer Principal

CHILDHOOD CANCER SUPPORT
Childhood Cancer Support is a family-focused charity offering regional families a place to call home whilst their child undergoes cancer treatment. Childhood Cancer Support was founded by a dedicated group of parents who recognised there was an immediate need to provide a safe and family-focused environment for regional families requiring urgent accommodation when their child is diagnosed with cancer and having to relocate to Brisbane for medical treatments.
Since 1975, Childhood Cancer Support has been supporting these families in their time of need and they aim to greatly reduce the burden and related stress experienced by families during this critical time.
Their accommodation facilities and support also opens up opportunities for other family members and friends to visit and contribute love and support. They provide stability to the lives of children diagnosed with cancer and their families through the provision of accommodation, transport services to and from the Queensland Children’s Hospital, social work and counselling services to provide mental health support to the families affected, referral services as well as recreational activities for all family members. Their services are at no cost to the families they support. They seek to remove the emotional and financial stress of living away from home whilst the family are undergoing oncology treatments for their child.
