HELP BRING A SMILE TO A CHILD'S FACE THIS CHRISTMAS

Christmas is meant to be the most wonderful time of the year but for many families, it can be the most difficult time.  For families who have children with cancer, or those fleeing domestic violence, the festive season can be a scary and lonely time.

At Mount Gravatt Mazda we strongly believe that we have a responsibility to give something back to the community in which we do business. To act on this belief, we created our annual Festive Community Drive which is dedicated to supporting our local community at Christmas. Our annual Festive Drive is in its third consecutive year.

Each year for MGM, the festive season brings with it a sense of giving and community.  Two organisations in our local community which are near, dear and making a HUGE difference to the lives of many are 'Childhood Cancer Support' and 'Beyond DV'.

Beyond DV

Beyond DV is a local Brisbane based charity that delivers a wide range of recovery programs to support women and children as they rebuild their lives after domestic and family violence. They work with families across the Greater Brisbane Area, offering practical hands-on support. 

Beyond DV was established by Holland Park teacher Carolyn Robinson as a result of her lived experience of supporting a loved one through a domestic violence situation.

Going through the court process over six months and witnessing, in that time, the enormous number of women from all walks of life, in the same situation, had a profound impact. This ignited her desire to use existing skills, expertise and contacts to support women and children impacted by Domestic Violence as they rebuild their lives.

Childhood Cancer Support

Childhood Cancer Support is a not-for-profit organisation that, for 45 years, has been dedicated to providing families affected by childhood cancer with a place to live that looks and feels like home. It is the oldest children’s cancer charity in Australia and was founded by a dedicated group of parents who realised there was an urgent need to provide a safe and family-focused environment for regional families whilst their child was receiving life-saving cancer treatment in Brisbane at the Queensland Children’s Hospital.

Childhood Cancer is an unfortunate reality for the families living at Childhood Cancer Support, and when family and friends reside more than an hour away, the financial and emotional stress can turn this special time at Christmas into another worry.

You Can Make All The Difference

Together with Mount Gravatt Mazda, you can make a difference this Christmas to the lives of families affected by childhood cancer and domestic violence.

From now until the 18th of December, we are inviting you to provide some hope and joy to families in need this Christmas by donating NEW toys to the Mount Gravatt Mazda Festive Toy Drive. All gifts are welcome from fishing rods and rugby balls to novels, make-up and puzzles.

To reduce the risk of bugs and to keep children safe, we ask that all gifts are to be unwrapped. 

On our showroom floor, you will find our Mazda BT-50 sleigh, ready to be filled with your NEW toy donations.
