HELP BRING A SMILE TO A CHILD'S FACE THIS CHRISTMAS.
2020 has been a difficult year for so many communities and as Christmas approaches – it is becoming increasingly clear that many families are going to struggle to have even a modest celebration. We all know Christmas is a time for joy but for families who have children with cancer, it can be a daunting holiday and in the current climate, a double whammy.
At Mount Gravatt Mazda we strongly believe that we have a responsibility to give something back to the community in which we do business. To act on this belief, we created our annual Festive Community Drive which is dedicated to supporting our local community at Christmas.
Each year for MGM, the festive season brings with it a sense of giving and community. One organisation in our local community that is near, dear and making a HUGE difference to the lives of many is the 'Childhood Cancer Support' charity.
Childhood Cancer Support is a not-for-profit organisation who, for 44 years, has been dedicated to providing families affected by childhood cancer with a place to live that looks and feels like home. It is the oldest children’s cancer charity in Australia and was founded by a dedicated group of parents who realised there was an urgent need to provide a safe and family-focused environment for regional families whilst their child was receiving life-saving cancer treatment in Brisbane at the Queensland Children’s Hospital.
Childhood Cancer is an unfortunate reality for the families living at Childhood Cancer Support, and when family and friends reside more than an hour away, the financial and emotional stress can turn this special time at Christmas into another worry.
Together with Mount Gravatt Mazda, you can make a difference this Christmas to the lives of families affected by childhood cancer.
From now until the 19th of December, we are inviting you to provide some hope and joy to families in need this Christmas by donating NEW toys to the MGM Festive Toy Drive.
