Mother's Day is an annual reminder to cherish the relationship you have with your mum. Given this year's unique circumstances, many of us are celebrating the holiday at home or even, away from the women (mums, grandmothers, aunts, you name it) that we love most.
For that reason, some Mother's Day traditions like spa days and fancy dinners feel next-to-impossible this May. But remember Mother's Day isn't cancelled; in fact, the sentiment behind the holiday is more meaningful than ever before.

What is motherhood? What does it mean to be a mother? These questions are as challenging to answer as they are simple. Yes, to give birth; yes, to adopt children; yes, to have a family. But being a mother is also about much more than that, isnât it?
Thereâs some large, overwhelming, and beautiful piece at the center of motherhood that is so hard to put words to. Itâs a feeling, not an explanation. Maybe that piece is best called love.
