In honour of World Kindness Day, Team MGM are celebrating by launching our inaugural Festive Food Drive and with your help we can truly make a difference for so many local families this Christmas.
Christmas is usually a special and happy occasion, but for many people in our local community who may be dealing with financial crisis, family breakdown, disability, or social isolation, it can also be one of the toughest times of the year.
With many Queenslanders living in need the sad reality is food insecurity affects 15% of the population, and a third of people affected are children. Furthermore, families are being turned away due to the lack of available food. The great news is you can help to change this.
Together with Mount Gravatt Mazda you can make a difference this Christmas by giving a gift to feed hungry families in our community.
From now until the 14th of December, we are inviting you to provide some hope and joy to families in need this Christmas by donating food items to the MGM Festive Food Drive. We have partnered with the Mount Gravatt Community Centre who will be distributing all of the items donated to local families.
On our showroom floor you will find our MGM Festive Food Drive BT-50, ready to be filled with your Christmas donations. Here is a list of suitable items you can include in your next grocery shop:
- Canned Food - Fruit, Vegetables, Fish,
- Dry Pasta, Noodles, Rice, Couscous
- Long Life Products - Milk, Juice
- Spreads - Vegemite, Honey, Peanut Butter, Jam
- Coffee, Tea & Sugar
- Condiments - Oil, Sauces, Spices, Salt & Pepper
- Toiletries - Soaps, Toothpaste, Shampoo & Conditioner, Toilet Paper
- Baby - Nappies, Wipes, Baby Food & Formula
- Cleaning - Washing Powder, Dish Liquid
Not to mention items that will help make Christmas feel just like Christmas should:
