That’s right, Mazda and the Kangaroos are celebrating their Silver Anniversary – or Ingot Silver Metallic anniversary if you’re a Mazda BT-50 fan, or Sonic Silver if the new CX-90 is more your style.
The blue-and-white Australian football legends have been wearing Mazda’s V-shape wings since 1999. It’s a fitting badge for the four-time AFL premiers. Mazda’s world-famous logo stands for ‘growth’ and ‘improvement’, representing the drive behind both of our organisations and the success each of us has pursued in Australia for generations.
The Kangaroos claimed the AFL premiership in the first year of their partnership with Mazda. It prompted Mazda Australia’s then-Managing Director to comment, “To win a flag in that first year is one of those good luck stories.” But creating that luck was a team of world-class athletes with an inspiring drive to win. It’s the same type of ‘luck’ Mazda has created since building its first vehicle in 1931.
Mazda’s support for the North Melbourne Football Club as its Major Partner means we stand together in our support of Australia’s passionate sports fans and communities.
